Cupping Therapy

At Integrated Chiropractic & Wellness, we use the REVO cupping system to provide safe, effective dry cupping therapy for our patients.

What Is Cupping?

Cupping is a form of soft tissue therapy that uses suction, rather than pressure, to release tight fascia and muscle, increase blood flow, and support your body's natural healing process. Rather than pressing into the tissue the way a massage or Graston technique would, cupping gently lifts and separates the skin, muscle, and fascia layers. This can help loosen adhesions, decompress restricted tissue, and draw fresh blood flow to the area.

We use a dry cupping method, meaning there's no skin puncture or blood-letting involved. It's simply suction applied to intact skin.

Our REVO System

Traditional cupping relies on fire or a manual pump to create suction, but we use the REVO system, a motorized device that lets us precisely and consistently control suction strength for every patient. Rather than static suction, REVO uses a dynamic, rhythmic vacuum that pulses to reach deeper into tight, restricted tissue layers.

Each session can also be paired with:

Therapeutic heat

Gentle warmth applied directly to tense, constricted muscle to help it relax more fully.

Red light therapy (660nm)

Supports circulation and the body's natural tissue recovery process in the treated area.

Adjustable intensity settings

Suction and heat are dialed in to your comfort level and treatment goals.

Instant release control

If a spot ever feels too intense, suction can be released immediately with a single press.

This gives us more precision and a more comfortable patient experience than fire or manual pump cupping, while still delivering the same soft tissue benefits.

Signs & Symptoms Cupping May Help

You may be a good candidate for cupping if you're experiencing:

• Tight, restricted muscles that don't respond well to stretching alone

• Chronic muscle knots or trigger points

• Limited range of motion in your neck, shoulders, or back

• Muscle soreness after activity that lingers longer than expected

• Scar tissue or old injuries that feel "stuck" or restricted

• Poor circulation to a specific muscle group

• Stress or tension held in the neck and shoulders

What to Expect

During your session, cups are placed directly on your skin and suction is applied. You'll feel a firm pulling sensation as the tissue is drawn up into the cup, it isn't usually painful, though it can feel intense the first time.

It's common to notice temporary redness or circular discoloration marks where the cups were placed, especially over areas of greater restriction or if higher suction was used. These aren't bruises in the traditional sense, they're a result of blood being drawn to the surface in areas of restriction or stagnation. They're painless and typically fade within a few hours to a few days.

Cupping sessions are quick, often just a few minutes per area, and can be combined with your chiropractic adjustment or other soft tissue work, like Graston or myofascial release, for a more complete treatment.
